WHAT IS INSUCON ?
Insucon is the International Electrical Insulation Conference and is held in Europe at intervals of 3 or 4 years. The first Conference in this series was held in 1970 and was called the BEAMA International Conference. For over 10 years, Insucon has been organised by the Electrical Insulation Association, a trade association in the UK, and attracts engineers, consultants and University researchers from all over the world.

WHAT IS THE CONTENT ?
The next Insucon will be the 11th in the series and, following on from the success of Insucon 2006, it will have the same format and span the whole range of materials, processes and products used in engineering applications. Although generally directed at medium and high voltage equipment, there is a broad scope to the technical papers which are accepted for publication.

WHEN IS INSUCON ?
Insucon 11 is to be held from Tuesday 26th May to Thursday 28th May 2009.

WHERE IS INSUCON ?
The Conference is to be held at Austin Court, the Institution of Engineering and Technology Centre in Birmingham, UK, close to where Insucon 2006 was held. The UK’s second city has an excellent international airport and rail links to major cities in the country. Views of the tiered Kingston Lecture Theatre and other parts of Austin Court may be seen by clicking here.
